Computer Science

The goal of the Computer Science Department is to prepare students for success in a society where technological innovations have transformed the world. ALL students are required to complete either Introduction to Computer Science with keyboarding or Introduction to Computer Science without Keyboarding by the end of their sophomore year. It is recommended that students who lack keyboarding skills (typing less than 30 wpm) opt to enroll in Introduction to Computer Science w/keyboarding. Any students highly skilled in MS Office, web design and computer programming can schedule an interview with a Computer Science teacher for a potential requirement waiver. All other courses are electives and encompass everything from basic to advanced applications, programming and information technology.
