In addition to daily Morning Prayer, announced weekly Liturgies are celebrated in our Chapel. We gather together with the full student body as a Community for Mass on specific dates as noted on the School and Campus Ministry Calendars.
Our Liturgies are “student driven”. We welcome and encourage all students to be fully active in our Liturgies as a Lector, Usher, Altar Server, Cross Bearer, Gift Presenter or a member of our Liturgical Music Group. With approval from their Religion Teacher, Pastor, Parent and School Administrator, rising Seniors who meet the guidelines and requirements are commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at the end of their Junior year.
Our Chaplain., Fr. Tom Ryan provides the Pastoral and Sacramental support for our Spalding Community. Fr. Ryan’s pastoral assignment also includes being the Catholic Chaplain for Towson University.
Therefore, Fr. Ryan is here on a part-time basis, usually for a period of time on Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. If you would like to get in touch with him, stop by or call the Campus Ministry Office, 410-969-9105 ext. 236.
In the first semester of school, Fr. Ryan schedules with the Religion teachers a time for each of their classes to be offered the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
During the Season of Lent, each class is provided the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Priests from the Archdiocese of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. participate in these Prayers Services and Sacramental Celebrations. These dates are posted on the School and Campus Ministry Calendars
