ATHLETIC TRAINING STAFF
Thomas J. Morgan, MS, ATC
TJ has been employed as the Head Athletic Trainer at Archbishop Spalding High School since 2000. TJ began his athletic training interest in high school under his high school athletic trainer. He studied athletic traininng at Salisbury State University and recieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1996. Upon graduating, he pursued a Master of Science Degree from West Virginia University, completing that in 1998. TJ has worked in all levels of athletics, as well as in physical therapy clinics during the course of his 16 years of practice. During his time as the head athletic trainer at Spalding he also worked as a classroom instructor. Currently, he serves the Maryland Athletic Trainers' Association as its President. He has been continuously serving on the MATA for the last 10 years. With the support of the administration, boosters and parents, the athletic training program has evolved into a full scale healthcare service providing a wide range of care to the student athletes at Archbishop Spalding.
Amber Kelso, MEd, ATC
Amber comes to Archbishop Spalding after a stint at Seton Keough High School in Baltimore where she served as the schools Athletic Trainer for 2 years. Amber recieved a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Elon University in North Carolina. Immediately after graduation she began work on a Master of Science degree and completed that in 2009 in at Marshall University in West Virginia. In addition to her duties as an athletic trainer, Amber will be instructing the Sports Medicine Class and coordinating our concussion baseline testing and developing a high school athletic training student aide program.
