210-583
- How do I make an appointment to see my Guidance Counselor?
Answer:
Leave a note in the box attached to your counselor's door.
See Mrs. Bach or Mrs. Green, the guidance secretaries, and tell them you would like to make an appointment.
Before school, after school or on the way to lunch come down to the guidance wing and if your counselor is busy, make an appointment with Mrs. Bach or Mrs. Green.
In the case of an emergency there is no need to make an appointment.
- How do I get homework/class work when I am absent?
Answer:
Students should have the phone numbers of at least two other students in each of their classes. When absent for a day or two call up your classmates to get information on assignments and quizzes. The day you return to school is the day your missed assignments are due!
When you are going to be absent for a week or longer the best way to keep on top of your schoolwork is to e-mail each of your teachers regarding work. Some teachers may email your work to you. If something needs to be sent home, ask the teacher to leave it in the front office, with the student's name on it, for a parent or guardian to pick up.
- How do I e-mail my teachers?
Answer:
There is a set formula for finding out teachers' e-mail addresses: Last name plus first initial then @archbishopspalding.org (For example, phillipsc@archbishopspalding.org)
- How do I obtain a work permit?
Answer:
Work permits can be found in the guidance department. They need to be signed by your new boss and a parent and then returned to a guidance counselor to be signed a final time.
