The mission of the Archbishop Spalding High School library media program is to ensure that all students, faculty, and staff have the skills and opportunity to access, utilize, and evaluate information. The library media program plays a vital role in research, introducing new learning technologies, supporting curriculum, and teaching information skills so that all students can become independent, lifelong learners.
Opening Fall 2023, the redesigned Library Learning Commons (LLC) is a 5,752-square-foot multi-level facility with private and group learning spaces, comfortable seating, and modern amenities. The LLC hosts a physical collection of 12,000 items, as well as numerous databases and eBooks, to serve the educational and recreational reading and information needs of the Spalding community. Access to the nonprint collection is available through the Blackbaud portal for students and parents.
