Coach Brady Reaches 350 Wins, Leaves Lasting Legacy
Severn, MD – Archbishop Spalding High School field hockey coach Leslee Brady reached a significant milestone on September 23rd as she recorded her 350th career victory. Brady, who has been at the helm of the program for 20 years, has averaged double-digit wins throughout her tenure and has led the Cavaliers to three IAAM championship appearances in the last three seasons, capturing the title in 2021.
Known for her dedication, passion, and leadership, Brady has mentored and inspired countless student-athletes over the years. Her commitment to improving every day, both on and off the field, is a testament to her character.

Brady's impact extends far beyond the field. Former player and current assistant coach, Logan Edmondson, expressed her gratitude for Brady's mentorship. "I am proud and grateful to have called Coach Brady both my coach and mentor," Edmondson said. "Her influence extends beyond games and practices — she has instilled in me character, confidence, courage, diligence in academics, self-discipline, and so much more. Her dedication to each of her players and staff goes beyond the sport."
As Brady prepares to retire at the end of the season, her legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire future generations of Spalding field hockey players. Current Athletic Director, Jon Mellinger praised Brady's impact on the program. "What a fantastic career at Spalding," Mellinger said. "Coach Brady's impact has and will continue to make a profound impact on this program for year's to come. I know she will keep a watchful eye on the program. Congratulations Coach."
