The Physical Education and Health Departments mission is to provide the foundations of a healthy and active lifestyle to the students in order to ensure a lifetime of healthy living. We promote these foundations through physical activity and exercise in our Fitness classes, focusing on learning the rules and skills of many sports and games. In the Health classroom we learn about a total wellness concept discussing physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The Fitness Mastery and Health curriculums are delivered in a way that makes one complimentary to the other which helps students gain confidence in making right choices about their overall health.
