Archbishop Spalding High School Announces New Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach

Severn, MD – Archbishop Spalding High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Logan Edmondson as the new Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach. Coach Edmondson, a proud alumnus of Spalding, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the program's rich tradition to this role.

"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Edmondson as our new head coach," said Jon Mellinger, Director of Athletics at Spalding. "Coach Edmondson's dedication to the program as a student-athlete and assistant coach makes her the perfect candidate to lead the program. She has a bright future in coaching ahead of her, and I am excited that she'll begin her head coaching career at Spalding."

Coach Edmondson has served as the Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Spalding for the past two years, gaining valuable experience under the guidance of legendary coach Leslee Brady. Coach Brady, who amassed an impressive record of over 350 wins during her 25-year tenure, leaves an indelible mark on the program.

"I am incredibly excited and very proud to see Logan Edmondson take the reins of this program," said Coach Brady. "Her dedication to Spalding and her players, her passion for the game, and her commitment to fostering growth on and off the field will undoubtedly continue the strong tradition we’ve built together. The future of Spalding field hockey is in great hands."

As a former student-athlete under Coach Brady, Coach Edmondson experienced firsthand the winning culture and commitment to excellence that define the Spalding field hockey program. She played a key role in helping the team achieve a championship as a student.

"I am incredibly honored to be named the next head coach of the Spalding field hockey team," said Coach Edmondson. "Coach Brady has been an incredible mentor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from her. I am excited to continue the tradition of excellence that she established and work with our talented student-athletes to achieve great things."

Coach Edmondson will officially assume her new role effectively immediately.
